New Clip From Oscar Nominated IN DARKNESS

Let’s be honest here the 2012 Oscars where probably one of the most predictable ceremonies in years, up there with the The Hurt Locker/Avatar fiasco. It was a foregone conclusion The Artist was going to be the big win, you could also say that with the winner of Best Foreign Film too with A Separation a great film which like The Artist sweeping the Awards everywhere it went. This doesn’t mean the other nominees didn’t posses the qualities like Agnieszka Holland‘s IN DARKNESS which was Poland’s entry and today we have a new clip.

The clip is titled  “If you find any Jews” and features our protagonist Leopold caught up in the aftermath of the displacement of the Jews to the concentration camps. In Darkness is a slow moving film at first however keep with it, a true story of Leopold Socha, a sewer worker and petty thief in Nazi-occupied Poland who ends up helping Jews hiding them in the sewers despite anti Semitic views.

In Darkness will be released by Metrodome in UK&Ireland March 16th, stars Robert Wieckiewicz, Benno Fürmann and Agnieszka Grochowska.
