Japanese film maker Takashi Schimizu known for been the director of Ju-On Franchise better known here in the west as The Grudge return’s this summer to English language film market with his supernatural air spook 7500. After the failed attempt with the English language version of The Grudge 1&2 he now takes the horror into the air on a doomed flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo when the passengers onboard encouter supernatural force during inflight. The film stars Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Johnathon Schaech, Leslie Bibb, Jamie Chung, Nicky Whelan, Christian Serratos, Scout Taylor-Compton, Jerry Ferrara, and Alex Frost.
EW have gotten their hands on the film’s official image which shows some of the cast finding out there’s more to first class than getting real cutterly for dinner and comfy seats. 7500 certainly does have a feel of Devil in it and i’ll freely admit I enjoyed Devil so I’ll probably have a keen interest in seeing how this one goes when it comes out late summer probably September time but for American film fans its 31st August.
7500 follows “a group of passengers who encounter what appears to be a supernatural force while on a transpacific flight.” Kwanten and Smart play “a married couple Brad and Pia Martin, who board Vista Pacific Flight 7500 with their two longtime friends for a trip to Japan.” Bibb plays Laura Baxter, “a flight attendant on the transpacific liner, who is involved in a complicated and secret relationship.” Chung plays Suzy Lee, “a newly-engaged flight attendant on Vista Pacific Flight 7500” while Serratos co-stars as Raquel Mendoza, “who boards the plane after sharing a secret with her boyfriend.” Taylor-Compton plays Jacinta Beckett, who has “a unique perspective on death.”
