Nickelodeon’s Rugrats cartoon is a cult hit, it’s up there with Pingu both aimed at the youngest audience but probably loved more by the grown ups. I was never a fan of everything on Nickelodeon however Rugrats seemed to find a space in my heart probably something to do with memory of certain events that the show reminds me of. You have to say with the show been around 20 year’s near enough it’s surprising there hasn’t been a live action version, though we’ve had the animated feature version, well until now. Funny Or Die have done it a live action parody short which you can look at it in two ways, a homage or simply creepy, i’ll let you decide when you watch it as it looks like something from early Darren Arnofosky like Requiem For The Dream. The video short stars Mae Whitman (Parenthood) as Angelica, Alia Shawkat , Michael Angarano (Haywire, Red State), and Sarah Ramos (Parenthood).
