Rewinding the brain back to the early 1980’s I can always remember going to the local library and one set of books that fascinated me constantly was Dr Seuss books but they were so popular my reading was limited to reading the display books. Like anything if you cant get you move onto to something different and Asterix & Tintin but the past few years my enthusiasm has been re-ignited and the prospect of a animated version of THE LORAX is intriguing. Universal Pictures have released a new American theatrical trailer which has Danny DeVito who voices the Lorax introduces the trailer but I don’t know the fascination of getting the stars or directors to introduce trailers your going to decide yes or no in watching it without there introduction. The new trailer nearly clocking a 3 minute gives us the best look at the film which looks very charming, its silly but hopefully the environmental message doesn’t get lost , they even get a little mickey take at Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear too! This look great visually fingers crossed this won’t fall into the trap of failed Dr Seuss flicks but with the team behind Despicable Me I have a funny feeling this one will be a winner.

The Lorax also has the voices of Zac Efron,Hilary Swift, Ed Helms,Rob Riggle, and Betty White with the film arriving in UK&Ireland now on 27th July 2012 (2nd March USA).

The 3D-CGI feature Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a boy as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world. Danny DeVito will lend his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms will voice the enigmatic Once-ler. Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic young boy who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams. Rob Riggle will play financial king O’Hare, and beloved actress Betty White will portray Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.
