Wednesday’s for me is film day, sometimes Saturday’s too, some weeks at the cinema we have weeks where the films on offer are what you would call mediocre but been a cinephile you have the urge to see something even if its bad. Today the urge was there and Abduction starring Taylor Lautner a friend thought my comment about Lautner’s acting ability comparing him to a one dimensional plank of wood was unfair after watching Abduction he definitely merit’s the comment, it’s his first feature as leading actor outside the franchise he’s better known for The Twilight Saga and today Breaking Dawn Part 1. Today via 2 different sites Summit Entertainment have released the films first tv spots which do include some new footage especially of our ‘wolfpack’ friends, the footage does look alot better than previous trailers, CGI is certainly a vast improvement. Touting the film as the ‘motion picture event of the year’ is a bit especially when most film fans, critics despise the franchise unless you are a Twihard, so has Bill Condon pulled the rabbit out of the hat and created a decent film or will be business as usual loved by the fans of the books loathed by everyone else, find out on November 18th.
