The Festival is delighted to be collaborating with YouTube for this unique on-stage interview with 50/50 writer Will Reiser and its star and producer, Seth Rogen, hosted by Radio 1’s Edith Bowman.
50/50 is the story of best friends Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Kyle (Rogen), whose lives are changed when Adam is diagnosed with cancer. Reiser, a cancer survivor himself, based much of the screenplay on his and Rogen’s real-life experiences (the two are, like the film’s characters, best friends). It’s an honest, amusing and moving film which we’re delighted to be screening in this year’s Festival. Get your tickets now at – http://www.bfi.org.uk/lff/node/1994
Here’s how the interview works: YouTube users will have an opportunity to post questions for our special guests online, either in video or text form. Their peers will then vote on which of the submitted questions they’d most like to see asked. While audience members will also be afforded the opportunity to ask questions, the top ten YouTube submissions will form the basis of what promises to be a very lively and entertaining interview. www.youtube.com/britishfilminstitute
