It looks like Universal Pictures want us to meet Tony Montana’s little friend again as according to Deadline  Scarface will be making a return to the big screen in the next few years. In this report its been said  Martin Bregman the producer of the Al Pacino version (Yes the 1983 Al Pacino version was a remake of a 1932 Howard Hawks version) is on board to adapt a third version for a new generation of movie fans, a movie which will be set in current times but still with a immigration and core story still intact.

The 1983 version as all cinephiles know is now regarded as a cult classic  film and go to any university student around the world who loves there posters, their flat will either have a che Guevara or Tony Montana poster, so support for a new movie might be quite strong. Though when movies gain cult status you are treading on eggshells but the word is if Scarface returns to a cinema near you it wont be a remake which is very surprising in today’s current climate.

If keeping with a immigrant coming to America for a new life then becoming a crime Kingpin, what country would the new Scarface come from in today’s timeline? Will he still be A cuban?or someone from Africa or Middle East continent?  But the question that’s on the end of everyones lips, do we really need or want another anit-hero like Tony Montana?
