Joan Allen And Albert Finney To Return For THE BOURNE LEGACY

When it comes to a established franchise like Bourne franchise be the movie been a prequel, spin off there always some characters from the previous films who will appear in some form. There may not be anymore Matt Damon but 2 old faces from the last 2 films (Supremacy, Ultimatum ) are returning to bring some continuity to the storyline and according to Variety  Joan Allen and Albert Finney are returning to reprise their roles.

The report says the pair are in negotiations  to reprise their roles of Pamela Landry , CIA assigned to bring in Jason Bourne and Dr Albert Hirsch the doctor behind the Government’s Ultimatum project which Bourne was part of. If they sign on they will join a host of new actors to the franchise including Jeremy Renner who will be in lead role not as Jason Bourne but one of the other agents who was also on the Ultimatum project with Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaacs and Edward Norton who happens to be in talks to play the villian of the movie.

Tony Gilroy who wrote the Bourne franchise films will also write the script for this new movie  as well as direct it with Frank Marshall, Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner producing the movie which is scheduled for a August 2012 release.
