The First Trailer For FOOTLOOSE Remake (updated)

Where’s Kevin Bacon when you need him? Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer for the remake of the 1980’s dance flick FOOTLOOSE. The original starred a young Kevin Bacon doing his dance moves which got the world taking of their shoes and dancing in many silly ways in front of the camera usually feet only. Now nearly 26 years or so on the movie has returned still plenty of dancing, actually loads of dancing with a younger cast of Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Andie McDowell and Dennis Quaid who was a big star himself in the 1980’s but sadly no more and with him onboard you tred with caution as majority of the movies he stars in nowdays are poor. The thing I ask was there any need for this remake? When the movie came out originally it was massive but soon as it left our cinema screens it disappeared into 5 minutes of fame heaven, anyway check out the trailer below apologies for the poor quality of trailer this is how MTV have posted it online, once a better one comes online Ill replace it.

FOOTLOOSE will be out October 14th

Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont’s local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister’s troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.
