Last month the first trailer for LoneScherfig’s ONE DAY starring Jim Sturgess, Anne Hathaway was posted online and it was a bit spoilertastic. Today MSN UK have released the UK trailer which is a little more friendlier though the main points are still there but if your like me never read the book your on safe grounds. Its hard to make an romance film that will appeal to the general film audience but its Lone Scherfig whose directing and if we go by her last movie An Education we know we’re in safe hands here and looking at the trailer it seems Sturgess & Hathaway really went to town on the chemistry here.
Only one minor gripe which other bloggers/site have picked up on too is Anne Hathaway’s delightful English accent it seems she’s graduated with BA Honours from The Dick Van Dyke School of Accents!
One Day now has a new release date in UK&Ireland for August 26th! (USA August 19th).
