2 weeks ago we watch the first trailer for Craig Gillespie’s 2011 adaptation of the classic 1985 horror FRIGHT NIGHT and today thanks to MTV we now have the first clip. The clip is part of American MTV’s ‘Sneak Peek’ Week having a little look at some of the summers upcoming blockbusters and in the clip we see Colin Farrell’s character describe to charlie (Anton Yelchin) his raw sexual appeal towards his mum (Toni Collette) and his girlfriend (imogen poots). It really shows the ‘animal’ side of Farrell’s character and when he tells charlie ‘shes ripe’ really shows a sample of how dark the movie may get, a little unsettling as well.I do hope there will be another trailer soon so we can get our first glimpse of Peter Vincent (David Tennent) as we are keen to see the humour side of the movie!
There will be another trailer coming soon as we have a little wait until this one arrives september 2nd (USA August 19th).
Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.
