We’ll admit The People’s Movies havent been following the new Mortal Kombat web series buildup recently and with online distribution qaulity improving as well as film studio’s creating more for online in the shape of web series as well video on demand its hard not to ake notice. Mortal Kombat is the latest franchise to go online and today Warner Bros Digital Distribution along with Machinima.com have unleashed the first episode of MORTAL KOMBAT LEGACY series.
The series has been created by Kevin Tancharoen and stars a few familar faces Jeri Ryan (7of9 star trek voyager) as Sonya Blade, Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight) as Major Jackson ‘Jax’ Briggs and Darren Shahlavi (300) as Kano, this series will take gamers deep into the history of the warriors they know and love.
The series will consist of 9 anothology movie shorts which look at the characters of the franchise revealing new insights of the characters as well as how they got involved in the tournment building up to the the release of another videogame.
