20th Century Fox dont really look like they know what there doing with Rise Of The Apes a few weeks ago the movie’s release was pushed in USA to a November release then pushed back to the summer again and now it’s to be retitled. According to the film studio the name Rise Of The Apes just doesnt fit in with the rest of the movies franchise and Fox have given the movie the title of RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

The movie also had the title Caesar:Rise of The Apes but now The Rise Of The Planet of The Apes will be used and will be seen for the first time on the movies trailer which happens to be getting released cinematically on April 15th in USA. You can understand the reason why Fox have changed the name as all previous movies have had The Planet of The Apes already in the title: Planet of the Apes, Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, and Battle for the Planet of the Apes, it would have been nice if Fox gave the movie a little of its own indentity.

The movie stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, Andy Serkis who once again wears the motion capture performance suite from Lord of the Rings for WETA who will create Avatar like technology.an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

No word on the UK/Irish release but August 5th The Rise Of The Planet of The Apes will be out in USA.
