Tarsem Singh’s IMMORTALS has had its first trailer Premiered online today. Over the past few days there has been a low res footage posted online but as expected that was taken down but now thanks Apple we now have the proper high res version!
Immortals stars soon to be Man of Steel Henry Cavill as the Greek mythical warrior Theseus who stands in the way of tyranical blood thirsty King Hyperion(Mickey Rourke) over throwing the Gods of Olympus by getting his mucky hands on the legendary bow that would make him invincible to the gods. I’ve just recently watched Clash of The Titans remake online and yes its bad, but in the 2 minutes of this trailer its already far superior than Clash Of The Titans. There is a big 300 inspiration to IMMORTALS but then we do have 300 producers onboard and with Singh he has given the movie avisual look that looks very impressive visually fingers crossed also the movie overall too.
There’s even a little added bonus in this trailer we get to see Henry Cavill get in bit of flying practice before starts on Superman!
We do have a bit of a wait for this one as its not coming out until November 11th, so do expect some more exciting stuff from the movie over the summer. Immortals also stars Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, John Hurt.
Visionary director Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and producers Gianni Nunnari (300), Mark Canton (300) and Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter) unleash an epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny in Immortals, a stylish and spectacular 3-D adventure. As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful. The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission. As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.
