It wasn’t surprised that Christopher Nolan would take some of the stars of Inception and use there services in another successful movie/franchise for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. The Joseph Gordon-Levitt gossip has been been overdrive for a longtime and there was a few sighs of relief  when his inclusion in the movie was confirmed but who will he play has been driving people crazy, will he be The Riddler? Alberto Falcone? Black Mask? For Cottilard it was Talia al Ghul  and has been for a while but today Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures put everyones minds at rest and revealed to the world who they will play.

So all the gossip we’ve been hearing for months who the pair are likely to play Im affraid was just gossip. Starting with Joseph Gordon Levitt he will play John Black a Gotham Police beat cop assigned to special duty under Comissioner Gordon.Marion  Cottilard she will play Miranda Tate a Wayne Enterprises board member who is eager to help the grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham. Before you start getting out your Batman comic book collection or scouring the net both characters have neither appeared in the Cape Crusaders comic book titles nor do we know if there villians nor how big a role they will play in the story though as they are big names there parts should be big enough assuming, but  could they have secret indentities?

Even though there roles have been confirmed as they are non comicbook characters  you wouldn’t put it pass Nolan to have them as villians or superheros, I wouldnt be surprised Cotillard could be still Talia al Ghul as her character’s position within Wayne Eterprises makes  her perfect to be Ghul, as for Gordon-Levitt a little more tricker. So are you surprised? dissapointed? any theories  please share them in the comments box below.

Let’s think about it, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is going to be a massive movie and every one is desperete to get news, clues on who,s who and what plot they’ll be but giving everything away would just spoil the experience when the time comes to see the finished article. We can give away little snippets here and there plus throw in a little gossip just to keep excitement in the movie for now lets respect Nolan with his hush huh policy we will know in good time, check out the offical press release below:
