sxsw 2011: Crazy DETENTION Trailer When Prom Night meets Aliens & Time Travel

If there’s ever a festival you want to call diverse it’s SXSW Film Festival in Austin Texas and DETENTION is proof of how crazy a movie can be. This Joseph Kahn‘s long awaited follow up to Biker movie Torque which is a slasher comedy involving Serial Killer threatens a School Principal and throw into the mixer elements of Breakfast club, Scream and Donnie Darko you get DETENTION and the makings of a possible cult classic here!

I wonder What John Hughes would think of this Crazy movie  probably like us here at Cinehouse & The Peoples Movies excited!!!

Detention is a teen horror-comedy where the local students of Grizzly Lake must survive their final year of high school. Standing in their way is a slasher movie killer who has seemingly come to life. It becomes a race against time to stop the killer and save the world – if only they can get out of detention. The Detention cuts through prom. Most of them don’t have dates anyway.

The movie stars Josh Hutcherson, Dane Cook, Shanley Caswell, Spencer Locke, Aaron David Johnson, Walter Perez, Erica Shaffer, Parker Bagley, and Alison Woods with the movie getting its world premiere at SXSW with the movie getting a theatrical release sometime in 2011.
