Warner Bros have released a second trailer for Arthur a fresh look at the 1981 Dudley Moore comedy with Russell Brand reprising the role of Moore’s character Arthur Bach. Now Warner Bros have got themselves sorted with Greta Gerwig debacle and now we get to see more than 2 seconds of her as for the movie I was never a fan of the original and I cant see myself enjoying this version. Russell Brand is in that category of comedians like Ricky Gervais you either love’em or hate’em and in my case I dont like them both however I can see why this movie will go down well with American audiences as his ‘brand’ of humour is very likeable in US and in some cases UK too.

A funny thing was said over the weekend when my friends 16 year old son started talking about the movieĀ  saying to his dad its thatĀ  Russell Brand movie that Dudley Moore done, it was up there with what has dad said to me in school I like that Nirvana Song THe Man Who Sold The World, the one David Bowie covered, mmm!

Arthur Stars Russell Brand, Helen Mirren, Greta Gerwig, Luis Guzman, Nick Nolte and Jennifer Garner, with Jason Winer directing and we can catch the movie when its released in UK & Ireland on April 22nd (USA April 8th).

Irresponsible charmer Arthur Bach (Russell Brand) has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of lifelong nanny Hobson (Helen Mirren) to keep him out of trouble. Now he faces his biggest challenge–choosing between an arranged marriage that will ensure his lavish lifestyle or an uncertain future with the one thing money can’t buy, Naomi (Greta Gerwig), the only woman he has ever loved. With Naomi’s inspiration and some unconventional help from Hobson, Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and finally learn what it means to become a man, in this re-imagining of the classic romantic comedy “Arthur.”
