Trailer For KILL THE IRISHMAN Starring Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walker & Val Kilmer

Anchor Bay Entertainment have released the thearical trailer for KILL THE IRISHMAN starring Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walken, Vincent D’Onofrio, Val Kilmer, Vinny Jones, Paul Sorvino. I’d be honest Ive heard nothing at all about this movie which is based on the reallife Irish American mobster Danny Greene (Stevenson) who stopped been a loanshark for the Italian mob by going into business himself and off course his former employers didnt like what he did and of course try to take him out.

Personally this looks like one of those straight to DVD flicks that pass you buy without any notice but its getting a American release on March 11th, 2011, Ray stevenson however does look the part and Christopher Walken is just Christopher Walken. Vinny Jones is on it as well and since lock stock hes seems to be typecast as the hardman mobster goon, Paul Sorvino does also look the genuine article as the mafia boss.

No word of a UK & Irish release but dont be surprise if its a straight to dvd release.

Over the summer of 1976, thirty-six bombs detonate in the heart of Cleveland while a turf war raged between Irish mobster Danny Greene (Ray Stevenson) and the Italian mafia. Based on a true story, KILL THE IRISHMAN chronicles Greene’s heroic rise from a tough Cleveland neighborhood to become an enforcer in the local mob. Turning the tables on loan shark Shondor Birns (Christopher Walken) and allying himself with gangster John Nardi (Vincent D’Onofrio), Greene stops taking orders from the mafia and pursues his own power. Surviving countless assassination attempts from the mob and killing off anyone who went after him in retaliation, Danny Greene’s infamous invincibility and notorious fearlessness eventually led to the collapse of mafia syndicates across the U.S. and also earned him the status of the man the mob couldn’t kill.Written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh and also starring Val Kilmer, Paul Sorvino and Linda Cardellini, KILL THE IRISHMAN is inspired by Rick Porello’s true crime account “To Kill The Irishman: The War That Crippled The Mafia.”collider
