Late last night the new poster for THE MECHANIC Starring Jason Statham appeared online last night and as usual there’s always a new trailer not far behind it and today MSN have debuted the new trailer. The movie is based on the 1972 Charles Bronson action packed movie of the same name which sees Arthur Bishop (Statham) take on a apprentice (played by Ben Foster) and yes it maybe a garage but Statham is the perfect man to play the hitman in this violent remake.
Statham is his best when it comes to action packed thrillers he does have alot of resemblance to Bronson in movie styles, though a few years ago the action heros werent always your fit athletic heros of today. The movie does look a little bit on the average side but hopefully when the movie comes out on January 28th it will be alot better.
Arthur Bishop (Statham) is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry (Sutherland) is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead. His mission grows complicated when Harry’s son Steve (Foster) approaches him with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade. Bishop has always acted alone but he can’t turn his back on Harry’s son. A methodical hit man takes an impulsive student deep into his world and a deadly partnership is born. But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become problems themselves.
