Walt Disney Pictures via Yahoo Movies have revealed the first offical trailer for MARS NEEDS MOMS. The animated movie has been directed by HG Wells grandson Simon Wells with Robert Zemeckis producing it stars the voices of Seth Green, Dan Fogler, Elisabeth Harnois, Mindy Sterling, Joan Cusack.

The movie is based on the sci-fi childrens book by Berkeley Breathed and is about Milo a 9 year old learns the hard way how important moms really are when she is kidnapped by martians with the aid of his new friend Gribble and go on the search of his mom.It does look a bit of a odd one and no matter how odd or stupid something looks the important thing is the kids will enjoy it, its a sucess. If you loved Zemeckis cgi animtion style of polar express you’ll like this throw in a little traditional animation.

So remember kids respect your mum, treat her well if you dont you’ll regret it as Mars need your mums!!!! The movie will be released possibly 22 April 2011 (not 100% confirmed) and USA March 11, 2011 in glorious 2d and unglorious 3d.

The film follows a rebellious 9-year-old boy named Milo, who is just beginning summer. His mother gives him chores and tasks like weeding the garden or eating his vegetables. But after Milo tints his 5-year-old sister’s face purple, his mother sees no humor in this and sends him to his room. After a heated argument with his mother in which Milo says “I don’t see what’s so special about mothers!”, Milo is grounded for the rest of the summer. After falling asleep, Milo does not hear the rumble of the rocket landing outside. After, Martians enter Milo’s house and take away his mother, Milo realizes that he has to rescue her.
