Late last night Magnet released the American trailer for Gareth Edwards MONSTERS which is been released stateside October 29th (Magnet VOD September 25th) with the British & Irish release November 12th(released by Vertigo Films in UK).

In this trailer we do see alot more new footage compared to the british trailer and it seems there pushing it on the actionside when this movie clearly isn’t a action based movie but overall for an low budget movie this looks very impressive and one to look forward to in November.Ill admit and ive said it myself but this doesn’t look like District 9 probably the only connection is its sci-fi, in this trailer though I see more elements of Cloverfield but in a world where virtually every movie genre has been sucked dry with very little originality around I dont mind as much when film makers are inspired by other movies just as long as they dont blatently ripoff others.

This does look very impressive, you know what I would love to see a alien invasion movie based in UK we’ve had plenty of post-apoclyptic movies (28 Days Later, 28 Weeks later,etc…), what do you think?
