Saturday Night Live is an stalwart to American Television comedy, many comedians have done there stint on the show and went on to do great (or bad ) things in the movie world (jim Carey, wil ferrel, etc…). But for anyone from UK or Ireland to see any of the new SNL’s we have to have digital tv to even see any of the current crop of comediens.

So now we have a popular skit from the show MACGRUBER now been made into a flick courtesy of Universal (via trailer addict) below is an Red Band trailer for the movie version which you can enjoy.MacGruber is played by Will Forte a dopey secret agent armed with mullet and all goes up against a ponytailed Val Kilmer, who just looks like a bad guy right out of a Miami Vice episode. Well it is a 1980’s take the piss out of McGuyver spoof!

As for the humour its adult based which has pleased alot of the American based movie blogs, its crude, rude and possibly funny. With Saturday Night Live been shown in very little channels in Uk&Ireland its hard to say how good or bad the humour is, but anything that looks like the Beastie Boys Sabotage video looks good in my book.MacGruber has an US release date of April 23rd but for the rest of us still to be confirmed. Looking at the evidence of this trailer I do think this will go down very well Stateside as for here it all depends on the type of jokes on parade.
