Another week has crepted up on us and this week we have a downsizer clocking up his airmiles & love interest, Its not about him but about Sandra Bullock. Denzil is our protector in a apoclyptic America, Ray winstone  has a big ego to mend with the backing of his cockney mates.

Ive decided no movie of the week just info on the releases. I would have went for BOOK OF ELI but ive already had a little backlash from a few friends for not going for UP IN  AIR so I went for none so as usual its down to you guys!! In this blog I mostly cover the main hollywood releases but week in week out in the small independent cinemas there is lots of  great indie/foreign/ arthouse movies that you can enjoy. At Cinehouse my other blog (yes I have another blog) I try to cover the indie/foreign/arthouse movies that get realeased.

In that blog I do try follow the same plan I do here but obivously different genres. Majority is trailers only but I am working on some other pages (you’ll see the menu at top of blog, still under construction) to liven it all up, so greatful of help out if Cinehouse covers genres you like in film.

Back to The Releases personally what I’ve seen of Up In Air there wasnt anything to inspire me to say this is the movie to go and see, but mainstream media does plug this  as the movie to see this week. Personally its very slow looking and nothing much happens, its all in the lines from the cast, dry maybe witty its a listen carefully at what they say type of movie. You have to be quick and maybe up in some American humour maybe to get the jokes or be in the type of work the cast are doing, if you took the movies main selling point Gorgoeus George out this movie wouldnt be sucessfull(im not saying it isnt a good movie though). Book of Eli I would have went to see this week, but today I went to See the Road (watch out for review over weekend) and wednesday night I had a freebie watching 44 inch chest (review coming up as well).

Book Of Eli compared to The Road  (which are both Apoclyptic  movies) does seem to be more like the big hollywood blockbuster type all action probably very little story and reading the early reviews its not great news, I may see it during the week. 44 inch Chest I was presently surprised about not alot happens in it but when it does it twist your mind, not a typical boring London gangster flick but intelligent flick read the review when its posted. Well is it All About Steve or is it about Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper? another generic run of the mill romcom.

So boys and girls thats  your lot this week next week we will have fighting sibilings as Spiderman has a go at Prince of Persia with Luke Skywalkers mum stuck in the middle, An excellent French crime movie, Matt Dillon in heist movie, Clive owen is back with his boys and matrix style martial arts.

So as usual enjoy whatever movie you see this week wherever you are, enjoy the popcorn and dont moan at lack of reviews why not send your own in and we’ll gladly post it here with our big thanks for doing it (review, date/location, rating out of 5 send to thepeoplesmovies@gmail.com), have a good one folks!
