The 4 time acamdemy award winner plays a washed up alcoholic County singer who gets his life back on line thanks to a reporter (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Reading all the websites and blogs there’s been a oscar buzz around it with Jeff Bridges possibly up for a oscar nomination? possibly but there’s also Robert Duvall and Colin Farrell invovled in the movie as well!
Right Away people are comparing this with Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler, I can see why and you see why more when you whatch the trailer as well, tell me what you think guys!No Uk/ Irish release date yet, it will be more likely 2010 but for our American movie friends possibly last week of December.

Feels like an Oscar buzz generating trailer to me, which is fine in my book – Bridges is long overdue for one. This trailer doesn’t offer very much in the way of the form of the movie so much as its substance, if that makes any sense.
