The First full feature length trailer for Alejandro Amenabar’s Agora is now online for your enjoyment.

Agora is a  historical drama set in Roman Egypt, concerning a slave who turns to the rising tide of Christianity in the hopes of pursuing freedom while also falling in love with his master, the famous female philosophy professor and atheist Hypatia of Alexandria.

Film stars Rachel Weisz as Hypatia , Max Minghella as Davus, Oscar Isaac, Rupert Evans and Michael Lonsdale. The movie has been written and directed by Spanish director Alejandro Amenabar who in the last 10 years has been involved in many movies with The Sea Inside and The Others (Nicole Kidman) been his 2 noteable releases, possibly suggesting Amenabar’s aim to have Agora as accurate as possible but what we can say it does look a wonderfull movie.

The movie will be released by Focus Pictures and Agora is up againist it already as it’s British released date is December 18th same week as James Cameron’s Avatar.
