Ready Player One New Trailer Transports Us To A Better Reality With 80’s Nostalgia

If pop culture nostalgia was a movie, Ready Player One could seriously be that movies name. After being teased in the Summer the first trailer, Warner Bros. today we get the second UK Trailer. Steven Spielberg‘s pop culture odyssey, promises a better reality with big lashings of 11980’s nostalgia. What do you expect, it’s a Spielberg movie, after all, the king of 1980’s blockbusters!

Based on the bestseller from Ernest Cline, the movie stars Tye Sheridan as our young hero Wade, chasing the treasure. Chasing the eggs that will grant him the power of the Oasis.

The first trailer basically was an introduction to the world showing off the cameos of many of the characters from 1980’s and 90’s pop culture. This new trailer delves a little deeper into Wade’s storyline including his relationship with his Oasis alter ego. We also meet Samantha (Olivia Cooke) and her alter-ego Art3mis. If your a fan of the book you will get a taster of the dialogue which suggests the movie will stay close to its book roots.

But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world.
