Dwayne Johnson Versus The Giant Beasts In Rampage First Trailer

He’s survived Royal Rumbles, Been one of The Fast And Furious now Dwayne Johnson takes on giant genetic beasts in the first UK Trailer for Rampage.

Another new year approaching, another video game getting the big movie adaptation and once again we’ll be asking “Will 2018 be the year we’ll finally see a great movie game adaptation?”. Based on the 1980’s arcade game of the same name Warner Bros. will be hoping Brad Peyton’s (San Andreas) movie will be the one.

I slightly remember the game in which the players take control of one of the giant beasts: Ape, Wolf or Crocodile. The movie does seem to follow the concept of the likes of Godzilla, so there is a chance this one might succeed.

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Rampage also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, P.J. Byrne, Marley Shelton, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid and Matt Gerald.

The movie will be released in the UK and Ireland from 13th April 2018 (the USA 20th April).
