Back in September, the mischievous and adventurous little rabbit we know as Peter was certainly troublesome for Sony Pictures. The response online was mostly negative but now Sony has reassessed and a new Peter Rabbit UK Trailer is now online.

The upcoming feature that brings all of the audience-favourite Beatrix Potter characters to the screen in a brand-new, modern adventure.’Too Modern’ was the problem with the first trailer which annoyed Beatrix Potter traditionalists. Now the second trailer is here has Sony done enough to convince us to check this out?

When the first trailer arrived, it just reminded us of Hop starring Russell Brand as our animated Bunny that pooped chocolate. The chaotic tone suited Hop but as Beatrix Potter‘s rabbit at no point did the trailer suggest it was one of her creations. This trailer, however, seems to capture it a lot better which makes you look back the previous trailer and know it was all about how naughty Peter can get. We’re not denying classic Children’s tales like this one shouldn’t be modernised. The trailer felt like it was one that should have been poster later in the promotion.

the movie’s Will Gluck spoke about his movie “In making this film, we’ve always felt as humble custodians entrusted with Peter’s legacy. My parents introduced Peter to me, and I, in turn, introduced him to my own children – and it’s my great honour to be directing a film that will bring him to cinemas everywhere.”

In Peter Rabbit™, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers now takes on the starring role of his own contemporary comedy. In the film, Peter’s feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as their fight to gain control of McGregor’s coveted vegetable garden and the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne) extends to the Lake District and London.

Peter Rabbit will be released in the UK and Irish cinemas from 16th March 2018. Starring James Corden brings the mischievous Peter to life, with Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson as Mr. McGregor. Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley will voice the roles of Peter’s sisters Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail.
