When you bring back a long-running TV series in a new spin-off it can be extremely hard to satisfy the hardcore fanbase. It seems Star Trek Discovery has been delivering the goods and now CBS Access All Areas the Streaming Service for North America has announced Season 2 is coming. Automatically that means here in The UK and Ireland Netflix has confirmed the news with us.
As previously announced, Star Trek Discovery will air in two chapters. The final episode of chapter one will debut on Monday, November 13, and the second chapter, featuring the remaining six episodes, will return in January 2018.
As for what storyline, if the Klingons as the villains or another iconic race will continue.Maybe by the time the final episode airs on Netflix we may have a clearer picture.Former showrunner Bryan Fuller did have an idea for an anthology for Star Trek which is a great idea. Giving fans a chance to boldly go where no other Star Treks series have gone before. For now, it seems we’ll be with Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Jason Isaacs a little longer for now. As it seems the show has increased subscribers at Netflix and CBS!
Star Trek Discovery follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship and new characters while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
The legacy of Star Trek is in safe hands and hopefully generations to come! No word on exactly when season 2 start date maybe, expect 2019 the earliest possible date.Powered by Sidelines
