New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Image Look At Laura Dern

The previous long-awaited Star Wars: The Last Jedi left us all very excited about the next instalment of the Star Wars Franchise. The trailer revealed a helluva lot of potential spoilers and teases, introducing new characters but not Amilyn Holdo, aka Laura Dern.

There is not much we know about the character apart from she may be the franchise first LGBTQ character revealed first via Vanity Fair. However, a recent Star Wars novel she was called Leia Organa an ally to the Rebels in the Galatic War.She was briefly shown on the Star Wars celebration reel and now we have another look courtesy of The Ellen Show.

The past few days the actress was interviewed by Ellen Degeneres where the image was revealed. It still looks like her character is part of the rebellion, showing the soldiers, technicians and a new BB-Unit Droid! The way the characters in the background are dress suggest Holdo may be a politician or some sort of leader? An Admiral?

Even with this image we still don’t much about her character as a lot of what we think we know is purely gossip. During the interview, she talks about working with Carrie Fisher and picking up a ‘blaster’. This means if things get tough her Holdo is willing to defend herself and her comrades. So any thoughts on Amilyn Holdo?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi lands in UK and Irish cinemas from 15th December. Also starring Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Dohmnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Andy Serkis, Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern.
