New Blade Runner 2049 Featurette Introduces New Characters

The jury is now out and the word is good on Blade Runner 2049 as the reviews arrive online around the world. You could say the word is awesome with some critics calling it the ‘film of the year’ and today we’ll find ourselves at a press screening. With three days to go until the general public witness the movie ourselves, Sony Pictures has released several new featurettes.

When Blade Runner was released a way back in 1982 we could see that the world the movie was set in, was very expansive. Also as the new movie is set 30 years later, it means there will be lots of new characters and 3 are revealed in these new promos.

In the first promo’ Experience Joi‘ played by Ana De Armas who briefly chats about her character who is bubbly, warm loves K (Gosling) cold, lonely. Is she a replicant?

The second promo ‘Experience Luv‘ played by Sylvia Hoeks she plays Wallace (Jared Leto), assistant explaining her character and her first meeting with K.The footage suggests she’s hiding something or is she just under control of Wallace?

In the final video, ‘Experience Joshi‘ played by Robin Wright,’Bringer of Light’ and looks like she is K’s boss at LAPD. Very commanding, dignified and compassion, but like the other videos is she not telling K the full story? Or just simply protecting him?
