Daisy Ridley Goes Blonde In First Chaos Walking Image

What happens when Rey from Star Wars franchise meets up with the new Peter Parker aka Spider-Man? Simple, Chaos Walking! Lionsgate Films has announced production on the Young Adult Post-Apocalyptic actioner has officially started. They celebrate by releasing the first image from the movie which shows Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley hand in hand. You will notice one distinctive thing our female protagonist has gone blonde for the role.

Chaos Walking is actually the collective name for a trilogy of books written by writer Patrick Ness (A Monster Calls). The books include The Knife of Never Letting Go (2008), The Ask and the Answer (2009), and Monsters of Men (2010).We don’t exactly what story the movie will take, but if things go well at the box office we can clearly a franchise coming.

Here’s the general synopsis of the books…
Todd Hewitt is the only boy in a town of men. Ever since the settlers were infected with the Noise germ, Todd can hear everything the men think, and they hear everything he thinks. Todd is just a month away from becoming a man, but in the midst of the cacophony, he knows that the town is hiding something from him — something so awful Todd is forced to flee with only his dog, whose simple, loyal voice he hears too. With hostile men from the town in pursuit, the two stumble upon a strange and eerily silent creature: a girl. Who is she? Why wasn’t she killed by the germ like all the females on New World? Propelled by Todd’s gritty narration, readers are in for a white-knuckle journey in which a boy on the cusp of manhood must unlearn everything he knows in order to figure out who he truly is.

The movie project has been stuck in development hell for a few years but now Doug Liman (American Made) has come onboard and now were in production. Chaos Walking is set for a 2019 release and will also star Mads Mikkelsen, Nick Jonas, David Oyelowo, Demián Bichir, and Kurt Sutter.
