Day 12 Ross Wilcock delivers one from his favourite horror subgenre, Slasher and.A supermarket store makes it’s final ever be one night they’ll never forget

Night shift staff at a supermarket are being stalked and picked off one by one. Starting Renee Estevez (Sleepaway Camp 2) and Featuring Bruce Campbell This is a film all horror films will find something to like in it!!

Made in the late 80s the film take a must slower pace than most slasher films of the time. With the popularity of slashers declining due to sequel after sequel Intruders introduced horror fans to a new story. 7 Years before the slasher film genre would revive itself with Scream this hidden gem came at a time when horror films were starting to become more serious.

You can see this ok this film, even though there are still some cheesy moments and bad dialogue, for the most part, the film – in terms of script and acting was much higher quality then others in the genre and is probably the reason why the film got a pretty decent score on internet review sites.

I had never seen this film until now and I am pretty sorry I hadn’t as I thought it was great. I also thought 88 films done a great job of restoring the film I liked the films overall release.

As for the film itself, I thought the editing was pretty cool for a slasher film and I liked that the actors took their roles more seriously than in other of the genre.

I pretty much loved the entire thing, my only negative would be that the film does drag a little and can be slow but overall pretty decent slasher film.

I think if you haven’t watched this yet I would certainly go and track this film down!! Great, fun with a good story.

Ross Wilcock
