One Final Intense UK Trailer For Wind River Teases ‘Stand Off’

After a mediocre weekend of releases in the UK and Ireland, this Friday, things might just get better if you enjoy slow brooding thrillers. Taylor Sheridan‘s Wind River arrives in cinemas and today we get one final UK trailer. Starring Jeremy Renner as a US Fish & Wildlife agent who must track a ‘killer’ with the FBI rookie Elizabeth Olsen. As you’ll see Danger comes with the territory forcing our protagonists into a stand off, but Renner’s character loves to ‘hunt predators’. Can he snare another one?

The trailer is short but sweet giving you a taste of the tone and atmosphere you can expect in the movie. This is the directorial debut for Sheridan who wrote the fantastic movies Sicario, Hell Or High Water. Wind River is of a similar tone of these movies, lots of suspense, intensity, plenty of twists, solid characters. The trailer does show off some new footage with one scene revealing a certain ‘Punisher’. Does it spoil the movie? You’ll just have to go  and see  the movie in your local cinema this Friday!

U.S. Fish & Wildlife agent Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) discovers a body in the rugged wilderness of the Wind River Indian Reservation. The FBI sends in rookie agent Jane Banner(Elizabeth Olsen), but she’s unprepared for the difficulties created by the oppressive weather and isolation of the Wyoming winter. When she employs Cory as a tracker, the two venture deep into a world ravaged by violence and the elements. Wind River is a stark look at life on the edge of an imposing wilderness, where the rule of law is eclipsed by the laws of nature.
