New Blade Runner 2049 Featurette The Movies’ World

In exactly 2 weeks time we will finally head back to that world created by Phillip K.Dick, brought to the big screen by Ridley Scott, when Blade Runner 2049 arrives in cinemas. It’s a world shrouded in secrecy, mystery even 35 years after the original movie that world still fascinates.Sony Pictures Releasing has released an intriguing new featurette that gives a chance to explore that world 30 years later, 2049.

The new promo totally immerses you right into the world and it’s amazing to think it’s now Dennis Villeneuve is the man in charge. You get the impression he’s the natural successor to Ridley Scott, his vision for a movie is remarkable. World building is a rare talent that very few people can pull off, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Jared Leto, and Ridley Scott discuss that topic. The aesthetic and how teasing the viewer with snippets of that world you can give the viewer the world is very expansive. There’s even some new unseen footage included in the promo as well.

In Blade Runner 2049 we find ourselves Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Blade Runner 2049 will be released in the UK and Ireland 5th October. Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Barkhad Abdi, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, and Mackenzie Davis.
