Vince Vaughn Gets Brutal In Brawl In Cell Block 99 Trailer

Vince Vaughn is not always an actor who we would associate with violent based thrillers. October we will see him in an unexpected role when he gets ‘brutal’ in Brawl In Cell Block 99. Today Universal Pictures release the official teaser trailer that Vaughn is not a happy chappy. Whatever you do never park your car close to him it might get a beat down!

Ahead of its Venice Film Festival, we have the first trailer which gives us a taster of what type of character Bradley (Vaughn) really is. He’s a man with a lot of issues and we know more than cars have felt the pain too. The trailer itself doesn’t show off the prison side, it’s obvious that footage will be the star of the show.

It’s great seeing Vaughn playing something that’s gloriously unfunny, but shows off his dramatic chops. He’s proved he can act in the likes of True Detective, Hacksaw Ridge and this is a role he never really plays which adds another level of curiosity. S. Craig Zahler already proved he can give a readily tested genre an extra layer diversity with Bone Tomahawk. We trust he’ll deliver the goods.

A former boxer named Bradley loses his job as an auto mechanic, and his troubled marriage is about to expire. At this crossroads in his life, he feels that he has no better option than to work for an old buddy as a drug courier. This vocation improves his situation until the terrible day that he finds himself in a gunfight between a group of police officers and his own ruthless allies. When the smoke clears, Bradley is badly hurt and thrown in prison, where his enemies forced him to commit acts of violence that turn the place into a savage battleground.

Brawl In Cell Block 99 will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas from October, co-starring Jennifer Carpenter, Udo Kier, Don Johnson, Marc Blucas.
