Darren Aronofsky’s Mother! Unveils Creepy New Poster

On Monday we were teased with a short and mysterious teaser trailer Darren Aronofsky‘s psychological horror thriller Mother! Ahead of tomorrow’s full UK trailer launch Paramount once again tease us with a totally bonkers double poster of the movies leading two Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem

If you’ve been following the movie internationally the Jennifer Lawerence poster you will be familiar with but today is the first time we meet Bardem. The Lawerence poster is slightly disturbing and very bloody we see her with her own heart but who is she giving her heart to? In Bardem’s poster, he looks to be surrounded by fire and with a metallic looking ball. What it is we don’t know yet, it does look like a silver sphere that could be straight out of Don Coscarelli’s cult horror Phantasm.

The question on everyone’s tongue will be, who is Mother? After the near disastrous but very ambitious Noah, it will be great to see Aronofsky go back to Black Swan style psychological horror thriller tropes. This may look a little more straight forward than Repulsion style mindf*cK, nonetheless, we’re looking forward tomorrows trailer!

A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer in this riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice.

Mother! also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Kristen Wiig with the movie out in the UK, Ireland and USA 15th September.
