Marvel’s Defenders Stand Strong In New Netflix Artwork

We waited a long time for them to ‘assemble’, now that all the team have at least one season (or two) behind them now, Marvel‘s Defenders stand strong. This August the long-awaited Netflix Originals TV Show Marvels The Defenders will finally stream globally and today we get a new poster. The poster itself looks like one of those selfies pics but who’s taking the picture? You’ll see all our heroes Matt Murdock, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand all looking they’ve been longtime friends, this artwork may not reveal anything, what it does suggest these guys are united and strong!

In Marvel’s Defenders, we follow Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realise they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Whilst Marvel Cinema Universe cried out for a long long time for a darker, grittier movie, Netflix based Marvels TV Shows have fulfilled that promise. Probably all down to the subjects they covered were grounded in reality (race and sexual crimes, organised crime) compared to the more tradition alien invasions of MCU.

Marvel’s Defenders will premiere exclusively globally on Netflix from 18th August. Co-starring Sigourney Weaver (Alexandra), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).
