In Daddy’s Home 2 First Trailer Will Ferrell Is John Lithgow’s Big Man!

2015 Daddy’s Home took many by surprise as Daddy (Mark Wahlberg) versus Step Daddy (Will Ferrell) as warring ‘daddies’. The movie ended with a predictable ending nor did the movie deliver any originality but it also had something lovable about it too. Now later this year Daddy’s Home 2 will arrive, and it’s going to be Grandaddy time as Dusty and Brad Daddies come for a visit. Step forward, Mel Gibson and John Lithgow! Check out the first UK Trailer courtesy of Paramount Pictures…

In the sequel to the 2015 global smash, father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell), have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. Their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.

Of course, if you remember there is another ‘Daddy’ played by John Cena mix in the fact it’s holiday time which should be a time of celebration but really a stressful time for the hosts. This trailer has a lot going for it, I won’t curse the movie and say it looks a better prospect and potential to be a better movie. The slapstick side of the movie put a lot of people off, however, maybe something a little more character driven might be a more logical prospect. The four daddies look like they have created a solid chemistry, here’s hoping the laughs will follow too!

Paramount Pictures didn’t give us a UK & Irish release date, we did learn the American release will be November 10th, so expect something similar. The movie also stars Linda Cardellini, John Cena, and Alessandra Ambrosio.
