Volume Up, Slam Down The Pedal, Baby Driver Gets 2nd Trailer

Volume up, slam down the pedal as Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver get a second UK Trailer.

After receiving rave reviews at last month’s SXSW Film Festival and the buzz from last month’s first trailer, Sony Pictures have released this new pumped up promo. The trailer doesn’t reveal much more than we saw in the previous trailer, but a trailer that’s hyper-adrenalin fuelled. Showing off more of the quirky humour, more high octane action and an awesome soundtrack even Mr Tarantino would be jealous of.

After years working with his best buddies Simon Pegg, Nick Frost with the Cornetto Trilogy (and various TV Shows), four years later he’s on his own for this new feature. We’re not expecting Pegg or Frost to make a cameo though don’t count it out yet. In a Summer blockbuster season which is full of sequels, prequels and reboots, this will come as a refreshing change. With wit, humour, action and the star of the show the soundtrack, Edgar Wright maybe has just made his best movie to date, making you wonder what Ant-Man may have been like?

In Baby Driver, a talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

Four weeks after the previous trailer posting another trailer maybe a bit premature, however, Sony Pictures have great faith in the movie and movie it from August to 28th June (UK, Ireland and The USA). Kevin Spacey, Jon Bernthal, Eiza González, with Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx making up the rest of the main cast.
