It’s been a long time since The Mighty Boosh left our telly boxes and the boys probably been as busy with an array of diverse projects. From Fields In England (‘it’s A Boy!’), seminal stage plays, to Aaaaaaaah!, but now ‘It’s Truth Time’. Julian Barratt is a ‘man of action’ once again but not Howard Moon, Richard Thorncroft. Not man of mystery, but man of Isle Of Man!? Now Watch Mindhorn UK Trailer as a washed up secret agent attempts to recapture his glory days.

The great ever secret agents of the world may find themselves in some of the most exotic places in the world but could you ever believe that small island between Ireland and mainland UK be one? When your a washed has been anywhere been good!

Mindhorn is Richard Throncroft, washed-up actor’s creation, he was the greatest TV Detective when the show peaked in the 1980’s. Like any one time great the thrive a chance at their past time glories and Richard sees an opportunity to be that sleuth once again.

That chance takes him to the Isle Of Man when a deranged killer is terrorising the Manx population, who then demands to speak to Bruce Mindhorn unaware he’s a fictional character. With his Bionic lie detecting eye patch on that ‘sees the truth’, Richard heads out for one last chance to reignite his glory days. Professional credibility and even romance with former co-star/paramour Patricia Deville (Essie Davis).

If you adore the surreal gonzo like silly humour, plenty of one-liners and pastiche parodies to the 1980’s you’ll probably love this. Barratt and his fellow Mighty Boosh Simon Farnaby wrote the script for this one, whose also in this shirtless and Dutch.Ah-ha! Steve Coogan, Andrea Riseborough, Russell Tovey, Jessica Barden, Harriet Waters make up rest of the cast. It’s hard to truly describe this movie but like it ‘Alternative Stylee’ this will be right up your alley.

Mindhorn will arrive in UK&Irish Cinemas from 5th May.
