DVD Review – Anne Of Green Gables (2016)

Second Sight presents the newest adaption of the beloved Canadian children’s novel Anne of Green Gables. This timeless classic is now remade for a new generation.

Starring Martin Sheen as Matthew, he and his sister( Sara Botsford) take in a young orphan girl named Anne(Ella Ballentine) they soon find out that this little girl will be the thing that completes their lives.

This was a wonderful and refreshing film Anne Of Green Gables set against the backdrop of 1900’s Canada the film is stunningly made and very well acted.

This is actually a TV movie first aired in Canada in 2016 and is now coming to DVD here in the UK. Which I am so excited about as I loved this film, No correction I adore this film. I never really know that to expect from family films, especially made for TV films. But I had faith, as I know Canada has a reputation of making bad ass films. This totally was an amazing achievement.

I loved the look and feel of the film and the score was stunning and added so much to the film. I loved ever part of it and I would watch it again and again. I think this is a film that the entire family will enjoy.

I think I will need to pick this up once it’s out Middle Of March . It is so good and it has, one of my highest recommendations I think I can give for Anne Of Green Gables.

I haven’t actually read the book, bu I would like to and I also want to now see the older versions.

Lovely, Stunning and Flawless.
