Passion And Obsession In Frank &Lola UK Trailer

An older man dating a younger woman is not an unusual thing these days as love sees no age just two people in love. Frank & Lola was one of the highlight’s of 2016 Sundance Film Festival a movie described as an unconventional film noirish ‘psychosexual noir love story’. Ahead of the movie’s Digital release next Monday (20th) and Home release in April Universal Pictures has sent us the UK trailer, check it out…

They may have  sucessful professional careers and what looks the prefect relationship. But when a couple’s relationship takes a dark, mysterious turn, is one of them playing games? sex games? The movie is a  study of male obsession and domination.

A seductive and intense noir romance for our times, Frank & Lola is the story of two people locked in a battle of passion and obsession. When talented chef Frank meets aspiring fashion designer Lola, he falls instantly and violently in love. As the secrets of Lola’s dark past are revealed, the lovers are drawn into a web of sex, jealousy and revenge. With outstanding performances from Academy Award® nominee Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals) and Imogen Poots (Filth, A Late Quartet), Frank & Lola is a haunting examination of love, obsession and domination that weaves a twisted yet irresistible spell.

Anything these days Michael Shannon is worth the ticket price. The actor is part of a small band of actors who can keep a movie together, interesting, engaging. He is one of the movie’s underrated actors.

Frank& Lola is set for 20th February on Digital Download with a DVD release 10th April. The movie also stars Justin Long, Michael Nyqvist, and  Rosanna Arquette with first-time film journalist turn director Matthew Ross directing.
