Dunkirk New Trailer Teases The Event That Shaped Our World

After a number of superhero flicks and sci-fi mind benders, Christopher Nolan returns to reality and focus on one of the greatest events in Earth’s history, Miracle Of Dunkirk. After a summer announcement teaser that set the tone today Warner Bros finally release the first full UK Trailer for Dunkirk.

The trailer may not reveal much of the plot but what we get is a harrowing insight into Operation Dynamo that rescued 300,000 Allied soldiers. A rescue that many of the heroes in the boats where volunteers, surrounded by danger from every angle, watch the trailer now…

The new trailer is entitled ‘Survival Trailer‘ and the soldiers surrounded by the enemy with very little hope of escaping the conflict to regroup. When it comes to wars we sometimes forget those volunteers, normal people who lay their lives on the line. Hopefully, this movie will give those brave people a voice.

Christopher Nolan thrives when he pushes himself outside his comfort zone and as ever the end result is rather intriguing. He’s no stranger to the real world with Insomnia and Memento but they are small scale flicks, however, he’s no stranger to big epic movies. The beach scenes will be similar in scale and scope of Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan opening scene. With Nolan a big fan of embracing new technology such as IMAX as well as shooting the movie in 65mm, this movie will be one hell of a cinematic experience that we last enjoyed in Interstellar.

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.

Dunkirk stars Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance, Cillian Murphy, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Harry Styles.

The movie arrives in UK&Irish cinemas from 21st July 2017.
