Jude Law Wants Nazi Gold In The Black Sea UK Trailer

This December we will dive into the depths of the sea in search of  Hitler’s treasure as Jude Law leads a team in the search of Nazi gold in the first UK trailer for gripping sea thriller Black Sea.

With the sense of dread sinking into your feelings when you lose your job your mind could wonder anywhere including taking the first steps to make things better in life. In Law’s character Captain Robinson he turns rogue going against his former employers for the sake of a mysterious  backer to search for myth of sunken Nazi treasure believed to be at the bottom of the Black Sea. With uncertainty and desperation risen amongst his crew claustrophobia , tension takes over as his crew turn against each other.

Black Sea trailer showcases the tone  and the claustrophobia taken over the crew  minds reminds me of films like Das Boat, essentially any film in a submarine where time is the essence. It looks a solid thriller from the Scottish director we’re not expecting anything as spectacular as Das Boat however it looks like it will tick all the boxes on entertainment value with a big dash of OTT silliness to keep our enjoyment levels  flowing throughout the film. But what’s going on with Jude Law’s Scottish accent? It’s as fake as Sean Connery’s Ramirez Highlander accent?!!

Two-time Academy Award nominee Jude Law captains the cast of Black Sea, the suspenseful adventure thriller directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald (One Day in September, The Last King of Scotland).

Black Sea centres on a rogue submarine captain (Jude Law) who, after being laid off from a salvage company, pulls together a misfit crew to go after a sunken treasure rumoured to be lost in the depths of the Black Sea. As greed and desperation take control on board their claustrophobic vessel, the increasing uncertainty of the mission causes the men to turn on each other to fight for their own survival.

The cast also includes Scoot McNairy (Argo), British Independent Film Award winner Ben Mendelsohn (Starred Up), David Threlfall (Shameless), Konstantin Khabenskiy (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy), Sergey Puskepalis (How I Ended This Summer), British Independent Film Award winner Michael Smiley (Kill List), and Grigory Dobrygin (A Most Wanted Man).

The Black Sea is set for 5th December UK release date co-starring Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, David Threlfall, Konstantin Khabenskiy, Sergey Puskepalis, Michael Smiley, Grigory Dobrygin, Sergey Veksler, Sergey Kolesnikov, Bobby Schofield, Jodie Whittaker.
