SXSW 2013 – Watch Paul Walker Protect His Newborn In Hours Trailer

2013 is going to be an intense year for Paul Walker with Fast & Furious 6 speeding into the summer blockbuster schedule, it looks like he’ll be Agent 47 in Hitman reboot , also small matter of South African action flick Vehicle 19 and comedy Pawn Shop Chronicles. Next month at SXSW Festival another film will make it’s debut Hours which attempts to show another side to Paul Walker check out new trailer.

Hours is set during Hurricane Katrina Nolan (Walker) who sees his wife die but his newborn premature daughter clinging onto life in a ventilator. With power failing,looter,risen water flooding the hospital wards Nolan is not just protecting his daughter’s life but his own could be in danger too.

Fast&Furious now on it’s 6th it’s not going to last forever nor will making action thrillers unless you want to be typecasted rest of your career. Hours certainly showing Paul Walker does have a few dramatic acting chops in his blood. This will give the film a broader appeal though the film description may not give the film it’s tense  but also very dramatic enough to bring a smile to a Hallmark Channel fan.

No word on a released date but the Hours will make its premier at SXSW Festival in March, film also stars Genesis Rodriguez.

Synopsis

Before sunrise on August 29, 2005 Nolan (PAUL WALKER) arrives at a New Orleans hospital with his pregnant wife Abigail (GENESIS RODRIGUEZ) who has gone into early labor. What should be one of the happiest days of Nolan’s life quickly spirals out of control when the birth goes tragically wrong and Hurricane Katrina ravages the hospital, forcing an evacuation. Told to stay with his child, who is on a ventilator, Nolan and his newborn are soon cut off from the world by power outages and rising flood waters. When no one returns to help, Nolan faces one life-and-death decision after another, fighting to keep his daughter alive, as minute by agonizing minute passes, becoming unimaginable “Hours.”
