Disney continue to tease us all as we patiently wait for the first footage to be more precise first trailer for The Lone Ranger starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer tonight we get a first look at the film’s official poster along with a host of images. The road has been bumpy on the production for Gore Verbinski’s action adventure but thankfully now the road now seems alot smoother as the film is now in post production getting ready to excite us all in Summer 2013 blockbuster season. The film marks another collaboration between director and Johnny Depp who plays Tonto the narrator of the film and the faithful Native American side-kick to John Reid better known as The Lone Ranger. Whilst Hammer’s character maybe the titular character all the focus will be on Tonto and these images and poster back up that idea too.
Sadly the film as been attracting too much negative attention and why the film cost the reported $250million budget hopefully tomorrow’s trailer premier (around 3pm GMT) may shed some light on the whole affair and give the film some positivity. The Lone Ranger is due out in UK&Ireland on 9th August 2013 the film also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter.
