UK Trailer for Ben Wheatley’s Sightseers

This time last year Frightfesters, horror fans worldwide couldn’t stop praising The Kill List , we we’re left confused scratching our heads so how can Ben Wheatley follow up Kill List with? Sightseers which has its first official trailer!

Sightseers is an hilarious black comedy written by and starring Steve Oram and Alice Lowe and executive produced by Edgar Wright, taking an old traditional British institutions of Caravanning & hillwalking as the basis of a film that looks like it’ll be as twisted and demented as the directors previous films. This is meant to be more lighthearted affair so maybe this one might not lean towards the mindf**k territory as The Kill List, but never say never when it comes to Ben Wheatley film!

Chris (Steve Oram) wants to show Tina (Alice Lowe) his world and he wants to do it his way – on a journey through the British Isles in his beloved Abbey Oxford Caravan. Tina’s led a sheltered life and there are things that Chris needs her to see – the Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Keswick Pencil Museum and the rolling countryside that accompanies these wonders in his life.
But it doesn’t take long for the dream to fade. Litterbugs, noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina’s meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris’s dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him up the wrong way, over a very jagged edge…

Now wouldn’t it be nice if they made a film about those people who break the cinema code of conduct, now that’s film I would pay for and I know Mark Kermode would love too! Sightseers is heading to UK&Ireland thanks to Studiocanal on November 30th, this trailer comes courtesy of The Gaurdian
