Stylish New Banner Poster For Ruben Fleischer’s Gangster Squad

After last week’s new international trailer, this week The Gangster Squad put on the style with a stylish new banner poster for Ruben Fleischer’s new film. If your like us here at The Peoples Movies HQ loved every moment of Zombieland  then let down badly with 30 Minutes Or Less then it looks like this November The Gangster Squad will remind us why he is one of Hollywood’s up and coming best directors. I’ll admit selfishly right up until the film’s first trailer arrived we didn’t take much notice of the film probably something to do with Fleischer’s previous film however after recently watching Public Enemy(Johnny Depp) my excitement for gangster films has risen again. With a fantastic assembled  cast of Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Patrick Stewart, Emma Stone, Anthony Mackie, Nick Nolte, Bryan Cranston, Michael Pena, Giovanni Ribisi  how can you not get excited about this!

Los Angeles, 1949.  Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago.  And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control.  It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

Gangster Squad will released in UK&Ireland November 9th (September 9th, USA)
