Feature- Film Biopics

With Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar now available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray, we wanted to look at other famous biopics from within the Warner Bros catalogue.  Here are a few other biopics that have set pulses racing in recent years:

J. Edgar tells the story of the founding of the FBI by J Edgar Hoover, who was feared and admired in equal part for his role as head of the FBI. The film explores the public and private relationships of Hoover, who was exceptional at distorting the truth as well as upholding it, and was often swayed by the darker side of power. Clint Eastwood directed the film, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role of Hoover and Naomi Watts as Hoover’s long time secretary and confidant Helen Gandy.
